Find Your Own Way
I, like many of you, am a person on a quest for life's answers. I've looked to Christianity, to Paganism, to straight up non-conformity, and then to Satanism.
There are certain basic truths I have learned via satanic influences. I quickly digested these facts and wondered where to go from there.
Luckily, my girlfriend recently bought the Satanic Bible and I read it in hopes I'd learn a great deal from it. I eagerly consumed the first third of the book, hoping to get past all the angry fluff and on to something with substance. It didn't happen.
The religion is based on anger. Anger does very little good. At best, it can be used to spark a change. But what then, after ignition?
A while ago, my sister asked me "What are you going to do when you're done being angry?" That question sent me reeling. I had no answer.
In my disappointment with the Satanic Bible, my finally hit an emotional chord. And I realized, truly realized that one has to find their own answers. No shortcuts can be made when it comes to one's own evolution. Doing so would only perpetuate the global case of the blind leading the blind. Why waste a good mind?
Someone once told me that the meaning of life lies in finding it's meaning. Another told me that constant evolution is the key.
I believe life is inherently without meaning, but human minds seek challenge. We create answers for the unanswerable questions. We create gods. Science has disproved so many superstitions over the years, and I believe that science will eventually disprove religion. That is, if society doesn't outgrow religion first.
So what secrets do I have to share with you. None really, but certain truths are self evident:
Make conscious decisions. Question everything. Maintain self awareness. Maintain your sense of humor.
As long as you are honest with yourself and everyone around you, as long as you don't harm anyone, as long as you sincerely try to better yourself, then no matter what anyone else says, you will move forward.
Hold yourself high, your worth is absolutely invaluable.
